Uma parceria entre o Exército Brasileiro e o Banco Master colocou milhões em movimentações financeiras sob os holofotes. Segundo reportagem da Folha de S.Paulo, cerca de R$ 39 milhões foram repassados à instituição em pouco mais de um ano, após o credenciamento do banco para operar empréstimos consignados destinados a militares da ativa e da reserva.
Os valores são provenientes de descontos realizados diretamente nos contracheques dos militares para pagamento de empréstimos. No entanto, um relatório do Coaf enviado à CPI do Crime Organizado aponta possíveis indícios de irregularidades no destino desses recursos. Entre os alertas estão o débito imediato após o recebimento e a concentração dos valores em uma mesma titularidade, o que pode dificultar a identificação dos beneficiários finais.
O acordo entre o Exército e o banco foi firmado em fevereiro de 2023, com previsão inicial de um ano, mas acabou sendo prorrogado. A parceria, porém, foi encerrada em novembro de 2025, após a liquidação do Banco Master pelo Banco Central, encerrando as operações da instituição.
Em resposta, o Exército afirmou que não houve prejuízo aos cofres públicos, destacando que os valores são privados e autorizados pelos próprios militares. A instituição ressaltou ainda que atua apenas como intermediária operacional, responsável por realizar os repasses às instituições financeiras credenciadas.
